Malvika
Hi!
My name is Malvika (pronounced: Maal- vik-aa). I am a doctoral candidate in curriculum studies, and for the past five years, I have been exploring the intersection of sound and pedagogy to reshape educational practices.
My research focuses on creating playful yet deeply thoughtful interventions— whether through sound art or installations —that disrupt the institutionalization of young children’s spaces and reimagine how we think about curriculum. Through my work, I aim to work from within the field of curriculum, making room for relational, sensory, and creative experiences that challenge conventional educational frameworks.
When I find myself in procrastination mode, I terraform my Terraria world, level up my hunter in World of Warcraft, draw eyes or sketch blueprints for my imagined worlds, or relax to some Nujabes. Let’s connect if you want to visit procasti- nation with me or think up an interventionistic and participatory installation together!
